Our history
In 1992, when biological dentistry barely existed as a concept in Spain, Dr. Alejandro Castillo opened Bio Salud Dental with one clear idea: the mouth and the body cannot be treated as separate systems. They are one interconnected whole.
That conviction was born from Dr. Alejandro Castillo's training — first at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where he studied Medicine and Surgery, and then in Paris, at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VI) and the Université René Descartes (Paris V) — where he learned that the materials placed in the mouth affect the entire organism. And that what occurs in the body manifests in the mouth.
35 years later, that philosophy remains our DNA. We have developed a simple, effective protocol that begins with oral health and extends to the systemic wellbeing of the whole organism: nutritional correction, vital antioxidants, removal of toxic materials, and strengthening of the immune system.
Our philosophy
At Bio Salud Dental we perform treatments that are 100% metal-free, using zirconia ceramic implants, BPA-free composites, and crowns made from ceramic or lithium disilicate. Every material is selected for its biocompatibility, not for convenience.
Before any treatment, we study your case thoroughly. When necessary, we request the MELISA Test from a specialised laboratory to verify your body's compatibility with the materials. And after every surgery, we apply ozone therapy for natural, powerful healing.
We are not a franchise. We do not look for the fastest treatment or the cheapest option. We look for the right treatment — the one that respects your body and lasts a lifetime.

Graduate in Medicine and Surgery from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (1987). D.S.U. in Stomatology and Oral-Maxillofacial Surgery from the Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VI). Resident across six Parisian hospitals: Ambroise Paré, Cochin, Salpêtrière, Versailles, Tenon, and Kremlin-Bicêtre. Specialist in Implant Surgery and Prosthetics from the Université René Descartes (Paris V).
Master's in Orthodontics with highest distinction. Continuous training in implantology, biomaterials, and bone regeneration. Physician of the National Order of Paris.
During his training in Paris, Dr. Alejandro Castillo combined his specialisation with direct work alongside internationally renowned specialists in surgery and biological medicine, including Dr. Mendoza Caridad and Dr. Ulrich Volz, leading figures with whom he has collaborated closely.
Member of the British Society for Ecological Medicine (BSEM) and ISMI (International Society of Metal Free Implantology). Trainer at Mulago and Mengo hospitals in Kampala (Uganda). Member of Cirujanos del Mundo since 2000.

Humanitarian commitment: Cirujanos del Mundo
Cirujanos del Mundo (Surgeons of the World) is a medical-humanitarian project that has been active since 2000, focusing its work on the Mulago and Mengo hospitals in Kampala (Uganda) — a country considered by Hemingway and Churchill to be the most beautiful on Earth, and one of the places where humanity itself originated.
The team comprises five surgeons: José Joaquín Mendonça Caridad, Pedro Juiz López, José Luis Fernández Platas, José Luis Vega, and Alejandro Castillo. Their work and effort are focused on the dignification of the human being and, therefore, of life itself.
Since its inception, the team has carried out numerous surgical missions at the Mulago and Mengo hospitals in Kampala, bringing specialised medical care to communities without access to surgery. Their work has been recognised in media such as La Voz de Galicia.
From this experience was born the documentary «Niwarinda, el deseado» (Niwarinda, the Desired One), which tells the story of three of the organisation's patients. The film was awarded at the International Festival of Scientific Cinema of Argentina (2007) and at the Scientific Film Festival of Badajoz (2008), two of the most prestigious medical film festivals in the world.
