At Bio Salud Dental, we use exclusively biocompatible materials — zirconia implants, ceramic restorations, and BPA-free composites — avoiding metals, mercury, and other potentially harmful substances.
Amalgam fillings contain approximately 50% mercury, a known neurotoxin. Over time, mercury vapour is released during chewing and grinding. We follow the SMART protocol (Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique) to remove them safely, protecting both the patient and our team from mercury exposure.
Zirconia implants are metal-free dental implants made from zirconium dioxide, a highly biocompatible ceramic. Unlike titanium, zirconia does not corrode, does not trigger galvanic currents in the mouth, and carries no risk of metal allergy. They are also white, so they look more natural — especially where the gum is thin.
